The ones we get asked most
Mostly about durability, colours and timing. Nothing here is marketing — it is what we would tell you at the table.
Are these safe for young kids?
Anything in the For Kids range is designed for ages 4 and up — chunky shapes, nothing thin enough to snap off. Our own two are six and seven and they are the ones testing them.
Prints are not food-safe and should not be chewed, so under-3s need supervising.
How do the articulated ones work?
They come out of the printer already assembled. The joints are printed in place, so there is no glue, no assembly and nothing to lose. Flex them gently the first few times to free everything up.
Will it break if it gets dropped?
PLA is rigid, so a hard drop onto tile can snap a thin part. The kid-safe range is designed with that in mind and survives daily use in our house.
If something breaks in the first month, send a photo and we will reprint it at half price.
What do the colour options mean?
Solid Colour is one filament throughout. Dual Colour uses two, usually body and accent. Rainbow is a silk filament that shifts through the spectrum along the print.
There is a colour preference box on every product page — tell us what you are after and we will confirm before printing.
How long until it ships?
Everything is printed to order, so allow 3–5 business days for most items. Larger sculptures take longer — some run over 24 hours on the printer before any finishing.
If you need something for a specific date, say so when you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible.
Can you print my own model?
Often, yes. Send an STL or 3MF with rough dimensions and we will quote it. We will also tell you if a model will not print well as designed, which is more common than people expect.
Do you do school, party or bulk orders?
Regularly. Bulk pricing starts at 10 units of the same design. Give us three weeks where you can — twenty printers sounds like a lot until someone needs sixty dragons by Friday.
Where can we meet you in person?
We do vendor shows across Ontario most weekends. Follow along on social for where we will be next — the kids usually run the table, and they will happily talk you through every dragon on it.
How should I look after it?
Wipe with a damp cloth. No dishwasher, no boiling water. PLA softens above about 55 °C, so keep prints out of hot cars and off sunny windowsills — a summer dashboard will warp one in an afternoon.
